The Liberty Township Board of Appeals will meet at 7:30 P.M. on Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at the Liberty Township Community Building, 7761 Liberty Road, Powell, Ohio.

 

The purpose of the meeting is to consider:

 

1.          An Application for Conditional Use submitted by R. Bruce Miller, Jr. & Beth A. Miller requesting approval of a home occupation located at 9798 Riverway Run, Powell, Ohio, in accordance with Section 7.04(A) of the Liberty Township Zoning Code. The 2.929-acre FR-1 zoned property is located in Range 19, Township 3, Section 4, Farm Lot #14, Liberty Township, Delaware County, Ohio.

 

2.          An Application for Variance submitted by Brian & Rebecca Lickfelt requesting to side yard reduction from the required 25 feet to 15 feet to allow an accessory structure to be constructed at 6657 Steitz Road, Powell, Ohio.  The 1.29-acre FR-1 zoned property is in Range 19, Township 3, Section 2, Liberty Township, Delaware County, Ohio.

The Liberty Township Zoning Commission will meet at 7:30 P.M. on Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at the Liberty Township Community Building, 7761 Liberty Road, Powell, Ohio.

 

The purpose of the meeting is to consider:

 

1.  An Application for Administrative Review submitted by Joy Hughes requesting to reduce the minimum rear yard setback from the required 60 feet from the road right-of-way of St. Rt. 315 to 55 feet, to allow a recently completed deck expansion to remain at 10169 Abbottshire Village Place, Powell, Ohio.  The .251-acre zoned Planned Residence property is located in Range 19, Township 3, Section 4, Liberty Township, Delaware County, Ohio.

The Liberty Township Zoning Commission will meet at 7:30 P.M. on Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at the Liberty Township Community Building, 7761 Liberty Road, Powell, Ohio.

 

The purpose of the meeting is to consider an Application submitted by Donald Kenney on behalf of Golf Village North, LLC seeking a Modification to the approved Final Development Plan for the following divergences: to Section 25.04 requesting the issuance of a Zoning Certificate to be effective for five (5) years for a proposed grocery store and gas station located at the northeast corner of Sawmill Parkway and Home Road, to Section 6.05 that the issued Zoning Certificate shall not require the start of construction within the required 6 months, and the owner will identify a construction schedule as part of the Zoning Certificate application.  This 29.756-acre vacant zoned Commercial site is located in Range 19, Township 3, Section 2, Liberty Township, Delaware County, Ohio.

In order to maintain awareness of sex offenders living in your neighborhood, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office has added a Sex Offender Registry to their website. The registry will allow you to enter any local address. It will then provide a list of all registered Delaware County sex offenders living within a one-mile radius within the boundaries of Delaware County. If you are looking for information about a particular sex offender, registered in Delaware County, the registry can help there as well.

 

We encourage you to take advantage of the free email notification. When a sex offender registers with the Delaware County Ohio Sheriff's Office you will be alerted if the offender's address is:

 

1. in Delaware County, and

2. within one mile of the address you have entered on your subscription.

Crime Prevention - It's In Your Neighborhood

 

The Delaware County Sheriff's Office would like to work with area residents to start a Neighborhood Watch program in Liberty Township. Neighborhood Watch is one of the most successful, effective and least

costly ways to prevent crime and reduce fear in our communities.  Residents are being offered the opportunity to meet with Sheriff's Deputies to learn how to make their homes and community more secure by learning the different types of safe guards for protecting themselves and personal property. Our Officers can help you start your Neighborhood Watch group, provide crime prevention information and instruct residents on how to report suspicious activities to the Sheriff's Office. Please help the Delaware County Sheriff's Office continue to make Delaware County a great place to live.....sign up for a Neighborhood Watch.

In order to better facilitate the recovery of stolen property, video tape and inventory all valuable items, to include make, model and serial numbers.
