Criteria for the selection of the Paramedic of the Year
"A member who has made significant contributions to the Fire Department during that year and throughout their career. This award recognizes primarily the EMS achievements, character and long term dedication of the individual being considered. Selection is not based solely on a single incident, but on the many contributions to emergency medicine and exemplary behavior demonstrated over the course of a career."
